Video slots make up the majority of the casino-style games at social casinos. If you love these games, you need to know how to claim sweepstakes casino free spins and which platforms have the best promotions.
It starts with understanding the different available promotions as free spins are usually not given as standalone bonuses – instead, you get free Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins which can then be used to play games, including video slots. In this guide, we explore how sweepstakes casino free spins work, explain the different bonuses, and recommend three top platforms to try.

Let’s start by looking at how these sweepstakes casino offers work. Typically, we don’t find many platforms that actually offer free spins on their video slots. Instead, you get given free Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins that can then be used to play video slots without purchasing Gold Coin packages.
You can occasionally find free spin offers, but the former is more common. Essentially, due to the nature of sweepstakes casinos and how freeplay gameplay is prevalent, there is no need for platforms to provide sweepstakes casino free spins offers. Instead, they provide a range of promotions that give you free GC and SC, and we explain the most common variants below:
The first way to gain sweepstakes casino free spins is via the welcome bonus. All social casinos give a hearty welcome bonus or no deposit bonus that includes Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. You can then use the free coins to start enjoying the epic video slot catalogs. In the table below, you can see a quick comparison of the welcome bonuses offered at three popular sweepstakes casinos:
| Sweepstakes platform | No deposit bonus |
|---|---|
| WOW Vegas | 250,000 GC and 5 SC |
| Stake.us | $55 Stake Cash, 5% rakeback, 250,000 GC |
| McLuck Casino | 7,500 GC and 2.5 SC |
As you can see, both GC and SC are given, but SC is usually in a smaller quantity as this can be redeemed for various prizes. Regardless, you can use both currencies to enjoy free spins on video slots plus gameplay on other games like blackjack and roulette. Some welcome bonuses require a sweepstakes casinos promo code to claim them, whereas others are automatically applied once you have completed the registration process.
Your no deposit bonus for registering an account with the casino should last ages, but that doesn’t mean you can’t top up your balance and get more free spins at sweepstakes casinos. The best way to do this is via the daily login bonus. This is a promo that social casinos offer to maintain their no purchase necessary compliance.
The daily login bonus can include Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, and some platforms provide a progressive login bonus. This will increase each time you make a consecutive login and play games. For example, WOW Vegas does this and eventually your daily login bonus can be worth 50,000 WOW Coins and 5 SC.
In most instances, this bonus can be claimed indefinitely, which means it will always be available providing your account is active with the sweepstakes casino. Even if you don’t want to do any video slot gaming on a particular day, spend a few seconds logging in and claiming your daily bonus! But don’t worry if you miss this bonus, as you can just log in the next day and claim it then.
So, you’ve claimed your welcome offer and are making use of your sweepstakes casino log in bonus. What next? Next comes the mail-in request. This is an effective way to get sweepstakes casino free spins and the process for submitting such a request is usually detailed on the sweepstakes rules or TandCs page. You might have to scroll through a heap of text, but just look for the SC section and it will give details.
In short, you have to write on an envelope or postcard with text and info specified by the casino. This is usually your account info or some type of unique identifier, together with a written request. You then post the card to the platform, and they will process your request and give you a set amount of SC. The SC ranges from 3-5, but you can do this multiple times, so it’s worth the effort.
If you are active on social media, then you should find the social media profiles of the platforms you are registered with and follow them. This is because most sweepstakes casinos are incredibly active on sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and use them for promotional material, news releases, and to improve customer engagement.
More importantly, they also host giveaways and competitions where you can win sweepstakes casino free spins in the form of free SC and GC. The competitions could be something like, “the first X people to like, comment on, and share this post will receive a share of 250 SC”. They are essentially incentivizing engagement but if you stay active and are quick, you can use social media as a consistent source of free coins.
If you have friends and family who are interested in playing at sweepstakes casinos, make sure they speak to you first! This is because you can give them your unique referral link and benefit from them registering an account.
Platforms like Stake.us and McLuck have referral schemes where you could get multiple GC and SC prizes simply by your friends using your unique link, if they actively participate. It’s vital they use your link to register their account, otherwise your referral won’t be tracked, and the casino won’t recognize that you brought them new customers.
Typically, the person you refer must make a minimum Gold Coin bundle purchase before you get your reward. However, with sometimes an unlimited number of referrals, this can lead to multiple free spins at sweepstakes casinos.
To get the most sweepstakes casino free spins you need to pick the right platforms and we can help with this. We’ve used our industry knowledge and experience to provide our top 3 sweepstakes casinos that have an abundance of free GC and SC offers:
Stake.us has multiple promos including its famous sweepstakes casino bonus drop codes where you can get 5-10 SC on a daily basis. By using the BBUDDYAPP promo code during the registration process you can also claim a no deposit bonus of 55 Stake Cash, 250,000 GC and 5% rakeback. Not only that, but Stake.us has one of the better login bonuses of 10,000 GC and 1 SC.

There is also an extensive live dealer section that includes table games and game shows.
WOW Vegas also has a superb welcome bonus where you initially get 250,000 WOW Coins (the equivalent of GC), and 5 SC. Once you have claimed this during the registration process, you can get a boosted daily login bonus of 250,000 GC and 5 SC which is spread across your first three days of account activity. WOW Vegas also has a 3 SC mail-in request bonus and progressive daily login bonus.
With 1,200+ slots to choose from, WOW Vegas gives you ample opportunity to use your sweepstakes casino free spins. There are also Megaways, progressive jackpots, and a small selection of Slingo games, which combine bingo and slot action. WOW Vegas hosts regular weekly tournaments on set days too, such as the Magic Mondays and Mega Wednesdays, where you can get a share of GC and SC prize pools.
If you use the BONUSBUDDY code during the McLuck registration you get a no deposit bonus of 7,500 GC and 2.5 SC which is another great way to play sweepstakes casino free spins. McLuck has a mail-in request of 4 SC, and a daily login bonus of 2,500 GC and 0.25 SC. We like that there is a chunky referral scheme too, that you can utilize 10x for a total bonus of 200,000 Gold Coins and 100 Sweeps Coins.
Your free spins can be used on 1,000+ social casino-style games including a vast array of video slots. The slots are provided by developers like Novomatic, 3 Oaks Gaming, Relax Gaming, and BGaming. Some of our top titles on this platform include Fire Coins, Solar Nova Megaways, Majestic King, and Big Bass Splash.
We hope you’ve found this guide on sweepstakes casino free spins useful. Just remember that typically, there aren’t dedicated free spin offers, but instead, you can claim a variety of GC and SC bonuses that give you plenty of free coins to enjoy the video slots with. When picking games to play, always look at the RTP and volatility, and the reputation of the software developer.

Yes, but indirectly via bonuses and promotions that give you free GC and SC. Sweepstakes casinos usually don’t offer free spins, but they give free virtual currency which you can then use to play any games.
Yes, but not directly. Playing games using Gold Coins gives you no chance at redemptions as GC has no value. However, if you use SC for gameplay and win, these can be redeemed for gift cards and cash prizes. You have to meet the minimum redemption amount and playthrough requirement though which is usually 100 SC and 1x.
This depends on your playstyle, what themes you prefer, and other factors. However, if you want to play smart and try to maximize your playtime, look for video slots with an RTP of 96.50%+. This is the return to player percentage and it denotes how much you should get back when playing a slot over time. The higher the RTP, the more chance you have of winning more GC and SC.
